The Volt: Anyone surprised about more basic lies from the Obama Administration while spending taxpayer money on another government ruse on all of us? The Chevy Volt was supposed to get 230 MPG but gets 39 in fact. It was supposed to run mostly on electric but in fact uses a gasoline engine concurrently to get you to Grandma’s house, less than 50 miles. The piece of junk will cost $41,000, but will take $7,500 of our taxpayer money to get someone in the showroom to actually buy one. It’s a Prius at the price of a BMW! We bailed out the auto unions, except for Ford, and we have to pay people to buy their cars – now that is a deal. The Messiah promises one million of these things by 2015, so taxpayers keep your wallets handy, you will be paying the fare for these, not Government Motors or the consumer.
Don’t Mess With Texas: The Bureau of Labor Statistics said 214,000 net new jobs were created from August 2009 to August 2010, and 119,000 of them were created in Texas. Texas has no state income tax, and is among the 10 lowest-tax states in the nation. It’s a right-to-work state that enacted serious tort reform during the last decade. Texas is a model of government restraint. In 2008, state and local expenditures were 25.5 percent of GDP in California, 22.8 percent in the U.S., and 17.3 percent in Texas. WHAT WORKS IS DIAMENTRICALLY OPPOSED TO WHAT OBAMA WANTS FOR US. Is it any wonder we are drowning in debt? It is that hope and changy thing again!
Millionaire Senators: Another big surprise; NOT! Of the 100 U.S. Senators 53 are millionaires. Of the ten richest, seven are Democrats (just the facts). John "Gonna Bring Those Jobs Back to America" Kerry is the richest of course (it helps to marry two rich women in one lifetime) and it allows you to write your own medal citations in Vietnam (oops, that was before he was married). Oh in case you are interested, the Senate got richer during the current recession; imagine that. The poorest of the 50 richest Senators is worth $5.4 million. Do “term limits” and the expunging of all pensions and lifetime healthcare for elected officials come to mind? The joke is on all us American taxpayers that worked at difficult jobs our entire life to pay this incompetent sludge.
National Public Radio: Also not a surprise; a majority of Republicans want to defund NPR (National Public Radio) and a majority of Democrats do not. Lest we forget that NPR is just a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party, is this a surprise. Why would they even think to do the right thing when votes are at stake? Does illegal immigration come to mind? For goodness sakes, why are we spending a dime of taxpayer money on NPR? Let George Soros pay the entire bill since he pays the most of it now. Why are we helping him keep this worthless institution alive?
